2023年11月2日から5日かけて、第15回『香港インターナショナル・ワイン＆スピリッツ・フェア2023』がハイブリッド形式で開催されます。世界１７カ国・地域から、500社・団体が出展す大規模イベントです。高級ワイン、プレミアム・スピリッツ、シャンパン、世界最高レベルのビール、また日本からも酒類を中心に、醸造酒、蒸留酒、果実酒などを含む、幅広いアルコール飲料が紹介されます。

＜注目商品＞
今回目玉となるのが、国内外で注目されているジャパニーズ・ウイスキー「厚岸蒸留所」（北海道）でしょう。数々の受賞歴がある同蒸留所ですが、ウイスキー市場が充実している香港や中国のバイヤーは、間違いなくブース殺到すること間違いありません。
また、このフェアでは常連の「安積蒸留所」（福島）も、香港はじめとしたアジア市場での安定人気のうえ、コンクール世界一の受賞をひっさげのブース出展で注目後最高になるでしょう。同蔵は、「第1回美酒コンクール2023」「第17回フェミナリーズ世界ワインコンクール・蒸留酒部門」でも数々の受賞をしています。
日本酒は、なんといっても、スパークリング酒。特に女性をターゲットとした「“ICHIDO”カラダめぐる美しきスパークリングたちは、美しさを保つ成分の入ったスパークリング清酒という新しい切り口を紹介します。
水戸からは、水府自慢／明利酒類。小川明利酵母＝10号酵母を使用した、透明感と心地いいフルーティーさを持つ日本酒は、今のトレンドラインでもあります。
ワインは、歴史ある日本ワインの「ルミエール」が出展。和食店での展開が見込まれます。「omakase」料理のパートナーとして、幅広品揃えがニーズをとらえることでしょう。
焼酎は、鹿児島の濱田酒造。フルーティーな焼酎開発など新しい試みにチャレンジする同社は、輸出に苦戦する本格焼酎泡盛の、クラシック・ジャパニーズ・クラフトスピリッツ市場開拓者たりえるメーカーです。期待されます。

Women’s Association for Japanese SAKE and WINE Lovers will be exhibited at the 15th Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2023, taking place from November 2nd to 5th, 2023. This event, featuring 1,075 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions worldwide, showcases a wide range of alcoholic beverages, including premium wines, spirits, champagnes, top-tier beers, and various alcoholic drinks from Japan, including brewed, distilled, and fruit-based beverages.
Numerous Japanese sake, including those from Women’s Association for Japanese SAKE and WINE Lovers sponsoring members, will be showcased at the booths. In the spirit of supporting traditional Japanese sake, CEO TOMODA AKIKO will provide on-site reports. Hong Kong serves as a hub for the global alcoholic beverage market. One of the main attractions will be the Japanese whisky “AKKESHI Distillery” from Hokkaido, which has gained significant attention both domestically and internationally. With its numerous accolades, the distillery is expected to draw significant interest from buyers in Hong Kong and China, making its booth a must-visit destination.
Additionally, the well-established “ASAKA Distillery” from Fukushima, a regular participant in this fair, is anticipated to gain even more attention due to its enduring popularity in Asian markets, particularly in Hong Kong. The distillery, which has won several awards, is set to impress visitors at its booth.
When it comes to Japanese sake, the spotlight is on sparkling sake. Especially noteworthy are the “ICHIDO” Sparkling Sakes, targeting women specifically. These sparkling sakes contain components that preserve beauty, offering a new perspective on sparkling sake.
From Mito, we have SUIFUJIMAN. Using OGAWA-MEIRI Yeast No. 10, this sake exhibits transparency and a delightful fruity taste, aligning with current market trends.
In the wine category, historic Japanese wine “LUMIERE” will be showcased. Its potential expansion into Japanese restaurants is anticipated. As a partner for “OMAKASE” cuisine, its diverse range is expected to cater to various needs.
For shochu, we have HAMADA Brewery from Kagoshima. The company, known for its fruity shochu development, is exploring new initiatives. As pioneers in the market for authentic Japanese craft spirits, they are expected to make a significant impact, particularly in the Classic Japanese Craft Spirits sector. Expectations are high.
